In your view, what is the value of successfully completing higher education?
Higher education is an opportunity to learn more about the world, as well as about yourself. College is valuable not only because it shows potential employers that you can follow through and finish something challenging and important, but it creates space for most students to meet like minded people, share ideas and pursue activities that are not as easy to find in other epochs of life. Beyond that, while the stressors of the college lifestyle can sometimes be severe, if you take the time to you will also have a lot of opportunities to have a lot of fun!

What do you want College Bound students to learn from your college experience?
Come to school the first day of your freshman year with your mind on getting what you need to get done, done. The freedom can be intoxicating and a lot of people fail classes for stupid reasons their first semester, like I did for calculus.

What is the benefit of a college degree for a first generation student?
A college degree opens up a new world of possibilities. Unfortunately, while a college degree is no guarantee of anything, not getting a college degree is a guarantee that you won’t have the same opportunities.
