We are currently seeking a Programs Coordinator.

College Bound, a St. Louis non-profit, is seeking a full-time Programs Coordinator.  College Bound provides promising high school students from under-resourced backgrounds with the academic enrichment, social supports and life skills needed to apply, matriculate and succeed in four year colleges. The Programs Coordinator will be responsible for providing College Bound youth with cultural, social, and academic enrichment opportunities.  This is an opportunity to work at a growing non-profit that is doing great things!

RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate summer enrichment programming for students

  • Serve as the College Bound liaison to UMSL and Sherwood Forest
  • Coordinate logistics of programming including: food, housing, transportation, scheduling, etc.
  • Ensure student attendance
  • Serve as a chaperone for all programming


Coordinate 4-8 enrichment activities for students each month

  • Locate enrichment opportunities
  • Coordinate event logistics including: admission, transportation, food, attendees, etc.
  • Create a curriculum and evaluation for each event
  • Ensure student attendance
  • Chaperone events and implement curriculum


Coordinate long-term enrichment activities

  • Coordinate ACT prep, Junior Achievement, Student Newspaper, etc.
  • Supervise programming
  • Ensure student attendance
  • Coordinator logistics

Coordinate weekend tutoring

  • Work with the classroom teacher to encourage student participation
  • Ensure student attendance
  • Serve as the CB liaison to Washington University’s Each One Teach One tutoring program
  • Coordinate transportation, food, and other logistics as needed
  • Chaperone tutoring sessions
Build positive, significant relationships with students
  • Communicate with students regularly
  • Seek out and create relationship-building experiences
  • Commit “random acts of kindness”

Various administrative duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience coordinating events preferred
  • Experience with youth from diverse backgrounds required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivation, innovation and problem-solving skills
  • General computer skills
COMPENSATION
$25,000 plus benefits
