Why should I join College Bound?
The college admissions process can be overwhelming.  College Bound is a support network of friends, counselors and mentors who are here to help you work your way through the process and achieve your goals.  Since College Bound was founded, 100% of our students have graduated from high school and enrolled in college, so we know the system inside and out!  In CB you will find peers with similar ambitions and goals.  Students form strong friendships with one another and develop a network of support.   Additionally, CB students get the opportunity to participate in summer enrichment programs, leadership camps, college trips and other activities outside of class. The opportunities are endless!

Who is eligible?
You must demonstrate financial need to be eligible.  Priority is given to students who…

  • Will be first generation college students (meaning your parents don't have a Bachelor's degree)
  • Have parents who were non-traditional students (meaning your parents went to college later in life)
  • Have special circumstances

Aren’t sure if you are eligible or have questions? Call us to discuss!

What type of commitment is involved?
We require CB participants to attend all CB classes and CB summer programming. You will also have the opportunity to participate in academic enrichment, service learning, leadership training, and cultural experiences. The more you participate, the more you will learn and grow from the program!

How much does it cost?
There are no costs associated with the program.

How do I become involved?

1.     Submit a completed application and recent transcript.
2.     Staff members review applications and invite qualified
        students to an interview.

When do I apply?
You apply for College Bound in the spring of your freshman year of high school.  There are limited spots available for students in the spring of their sophomore year as well.

Although deadlines vary by site, the application (including a high school transcript) deadline for our community-based program has been EXTENDED to Wednesday, February 29.
